Schools and offices increasingly have to show air quality; the Sensor gauge makes that a one-line job. Any sensor, ESP32 or home-automation system posts a number to the PlainSignage API (or the widget reads a JSON URL), and the screen shows a gauge, tile or 24-hour sparkline with colour-coded good/fair/poor status and a trend arrow. Presets for CO₂, temperature, humidity, noise, occupancy and PM2.5 set sensible thresholds; adjust them freely.

What it does

  • Push readings with one HTTPS call or pull them from any JSON URL
  • Presets for CO₂, temperature, humidity, noise, occupancy, PM2.5
  • Gauge, tile and 24-hour sparkline designs
  • Your own thresholds and units, trend arrow, stale-data warning

Frequently asked questions

How do I send a reading?

POST {"value": 812} to /api/v1/metrics/co2 with an API key that has the metrics scope. Home Assistant, Node-RED and most sensor firmware can do that on a timer.

Does the data leave my account?

No. Readings are stored per account for 8 days for the sparkline and are never shared.
