The simplest crowd game there is. Put the widget on the screen, guests scan the QR and get a big START button on their phone. They stop the clock as close to the target as they can — say 10.00 seconds — and the screen instantly ranks everyone's attempts, closest first. Pick a difficulty: it sets a fixed clock speed that every player sees — ¾ speed, real speed, 1.5× or 2.5× faster. No randomness, just a faster clock that punishes every millisecond of reaction time. Add a prize for a perfect hit and watch the queue form at the bar.
What it does
- Zero setup: pick a target time, the QR code appears on the screen
- Live leaderboard with medals, a PERFECT badge for hits within 0.01 s and an optional prize
- Four difficulty levels with a fixed, visible clock speed (¾×, 1×, 1.5×, 2.5×), attempts per phone and the leaderboard window are all adjustable
- Every attempt is checked against the server clock, so nobody can fake a time
How to add the Stop the clock widget
- 1Open a screen or layout in the console and click Add.
- 2Choose Stop the clock from the widget list and drag it onto the canvas.
- 3Fill in the settings in the inspector, pick a design and press Publish — the screen updates within a second.
Frequently asked questions
Do guests need an app?
No. They scan the QR with their phone camera and play in the browser; nothing is installed.
What stops people from cheating?
The server records when each run started and rejects stop times that don't match its own clock. Attempts per phone are limited, and the leaderboard resets on the window you choose.
