How to add the Shapes & backgrounds widget
- 1Open a screen or layout in the console and click Add.
- 2Choose Shapes & backgrounds from the widget list and drag it onto the canvas.
- 3Fill in the settings in the inspector, pick a design and press Publish — the screen updates within a second.
Frequently asked questions
Do animated backgrounds slow down cheap TVs?
They are tuned for TV hardware and can be switched off per screen. Static gradients are the lightest option for very old devices.
