How to add the Text widget
- 1Open a screen or layout in the console and click Add.
- 2Choose Text from the widget list and drag it onto the canvas.
- 3Fill in the settings in the inspector, pick a design and press Publish — the screen updates within a second.
Frequently asked questions
Can the text change automatically?
Yes. Tokens like {greeting} turn into “Good morning” or “Good evening” on the screen, and {date} always shows today. For data from a spreadsheet or JSON, use the Live sheet or Live number widget.
Are fonts the same on every TV?
Yes. Fonts are bundled with the content and rendered identically in the browser preview, the browser player and the Android app.
